There are many advantages to pre-planning a funeral. One of the greatest advantages is that it can relieve your family of having to make important decisions when they are already under great emotional stress. Pre-planned funerals allow you and your family to make important financial, legal, and funeral service decisions ahead of time so that family members may focus their attention on supporting and comforting each other during times of grief.

By pre-planning a funeral you can:

• make your wishes known regarding the details of a funeral service;

• control the cost;

• ensure that personal records are organized and easy for survivors to locate;

• protect your insurance so that it provides for your survivors and not funeral expenses;

• provide protection and peace of mind for survivors in case the need arises before it is expected.
