Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory is open and available to serve our community
The CDC states, “there is currently no known risk associated with being in the same room at a funeral or a visitation service with the body of someone who has died of COVID – 19.”
However, it is Declared and Mandated by The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners and Governor Brian P. Kemp, that gatherings of 10 or more be cancelled for the next 8 weeks and social distancing practices be implemented to reduce the exposure to the rapidly spreading COVID – 19. This applies to funeral homes as well.
Below is a list of how we are taking extra measures to ensure the safety of our families and guests during this pandemic so they can properly and safely celebrate the life of a loved one.
1.We recommend services be by invitation only. No more than 10 guests (including the minister.) This can be accomplished by having a visitation day and a funeral service day. Attendees should be asked to attend only one of these events. The total number for any visitation or service is 10 visitors total for the day.
2. Hold “Family Only” (still limited to 10 individuals) services in our chapel and live stream the service on social media for guests to watch from the safety of their own homes.
In planning arrangements, currently we are in the process of implementing an online funeral arrangement process. We will be glad to handle the process by phone or in person at the funeral home. If in person, we ask that no more than 3 individuals be present at the funeral home during the arrangement process in order to comply with social distancing practices ( 6 ft. apart) suggested by the CDC.
We are regularly sanitizing all areas of the funeral home and are encouraging hand washing in our rest rooms. Hand sanitizer is available in the front lobby. Please remember that we are all in this together and we here at Ingram Funeral Home are dedicated to keeping you as safe as possible. Our staff is working to provide you and yours the absolute best in service and care in this trying time.
