Sandra Gail Hulon

March 7, 1938 ~ October 1, 2018 (age 80)

Surrounded by loved ones, Sandra Gail Hulon nee Morrison, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2018, in Cumming, GA, after a long illness. Sandra, Sandy to her friends and family, was born on March 7, 1938 in Takoma Park, Maryland.

Sandy grew up in the Paint Branch Farms community in Silver Spring, MD, enjoying an adventurous childhood surrounded by siblings, cousins and friends.  She was educated in Silver Spring, MD at the Academy of the Holy Names and later attended Montgomery Blair High School and was a member of the 1956 graduating class. At the age of 23, she married her lifelong love, Lonnie J. “Bill” Hulon. The couple started a family while living in Wheaton, MD, and later relocated to Damascus, MD where Sandy and Bill raised their three daughters. Throughout her life, Sandy worked as an administrator and Human Resource specialist with several defense contractors including EG&G and Norden Systems.  After retirement and a brief stay in South Carolina, Sandy and Bill settled in Cumming, GA to be close to their grandchildren.

Sandy was a simple woman, who loved simple things.  She enjoyed swimming, playing cards, tomato sandwiches, movies, books and visiting with family and friends.  Her passions were her home, her grandchildren and the memories of her long-lost father, mother and siblings. Sandy was a child at heart; she loved all things cute and cuddly. She cherished her dolls and couldn’t resist an assortment of plush animals, toys and figurines. Sandy loved a good prank and never missed an opportunity for a little horseplay. She will be remembered for her beautiful eyes and bright smile, her love of mischief, her sense of humor and her willingness to help those in need.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lonnie J. “Bill” Hulon, her daughters Laura Ann Turnell, Theresa Lynn Ceresini and her step-daughter Deborah Kay Clarke.  Her grandchildren Gregory Turnell, Gabrielle (Sebastian) Millican, Donovan Ceresini, Paul “Vincent” Ceresini, Chelsey Coston, Danielle Coston, great-grandson Stephen, beloved cousin Margot Kiley, daughter of her heart Angeliki “Lee” Grace Koutsos and many cherished cousins, nephews and nieces. Sandra was preceded in death by her father Fred W. Morrison, mother Marilynn M. Morrison nee Williams, her sister Margaret M. Harris, brother-in-law Charles Harris, brother William P. Morrison, sister Sarah A. Gallagher, brother-in-law Edward J. Gallagher and beloved son in law Paul “Michael” Ceresini.
