Ailion Amos "Mac" McPhail Jr

Ailion Amos (Mac) McPhail, Jr., age 94, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Mac was retired from the Florida East Coast Railroad and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Estelle McPhail; a son, Timothy Allen McPhail; and a grandson, Brandon James Springer. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ron Springer of Dawsonville; a daughter-in-law, Susan McPhail; grandchildren, Christopher Joseph McPhail and Lindsey Elizabeth McPhail, all of Kennesaw; and a great grandson, Kyler James Springer of Gainesville. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hal Hardy officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
