Alfred William Thorne, Jr., age 80, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023. Alfred enjoyed fishing, gardening, and golfing. He won Yard of The Month at Grove Park. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred William Thorne, Sr. and Josephine Wasek Thorne; brothers, Jack Thorne and Robert Thorne.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marcie Thorne; children, Craig (Susan) Thorne, Carole (John) McGowan, and Jennifer (Carlo) Robotti; grandchildren, Matthew McGowan, Rachel (Justin) Auten, Dylan Robotti, Ryan Robotti, and Tyler Thorne; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Ulrike Thorne; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
