Mrs. Alice Mae Foster, age 93, of Forsyth County, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2026. Mrs. Foster was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Effie Hall; her husband of 60 years, Charles W. “Doc” Foster; her son, Charles William Foster; her great-grandson, Clayton Kernea; her sisters, Frances Sheets and Katherine Corvin; and her brothers, Fred Hall and Albert Hall.
Mrs. Foster was raised in the mountains of Virginia, where she spent her early years before meeting her husband, Charles, through a mutual friend. Following their marriage, they relocated to Georgia and made their home in Alpharetta, where they built a life together centered on family and faith.
Mrs. Foster was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to the care and well-being of her family.
She is survived by her children, Peggy and James Gilbert of Jasper, James Michael Foster of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Tammy and Robert Kernea of Talking Rock; great-grandchildren, Dustin Kernea and Katy Rutledge; great-great-grandchildren, Tallyn, Bryce, Rhett, Lula, Lucas, Brandi and Paisley; sister, Clara Puckett of Cumming; nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive Alice.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00AM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Alpharetta City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21st from 4:00-8:00PM and Sunday, March 22nd from 11:00AM-8:00PM.
