Allen Thurman Duran

Allen Thurman Duran, 61, of Cumming, went home to be with his loving Savior and his wife Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Known by his work associates as Spunk, Allen was an amazing father, PawPaw, and loving brother. He took great pride in his work in Building Maintenance with Automation Direct. Allen loved trout fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was passionate about his tractors and taking his grandkids on rides. A member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Vicky Lynn Evans Duran and his mother, Amelia Gliness Duran.

Survivors include his sons, Andrew and Whitney Duran, Marcus Duran; grandchildren, Austyn, Linkyn and Maesyn Duran; father, Thurman Duran; sister, Becky and George Hermann; sister-in-law, Betty Mitchell; brother-in-law, Tommy and Tammy Evans. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Sorrells, Rev. Jack Pilcher and Rev. Andrew Duran officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
