Arthur R. "Art" Franklin

Arthur R. (Art) Franklin, age 71 of Cumming, passed away in the early hours of Thursday, March 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a United States Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Gale Scheitler Franklin; daughter, Tawnya Dukes; son, Byron Franklin; grandchildren, Bradley Dukes and Chris Dukes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Nettie Franklin and Gary and Ellen Franklin; sister, Elois Tench. "To my Darling Love, you were my soulmate and I enjoyed our 29 years of marriage together and I wish I could have 29 more. You were my best friend and I never wanted to be apart from you. We held hands and said I love you to the end. I will miss hearing you call me sweetheart.
