Audrey Ann Martin, 86, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2026. While her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the comfort of knowing she is now at rest in His presence.
Audrey was born on December 21, 1939, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where she was raised and developed a strong foundation of faith that would guide her throughout her life. She completed her schooling in Chicopee and went on to attend Westfield Teachers College in Westfield, Massachusetts. After graduating, she began her career as an elementary school teacher, a role that reflected her gentle spirit and love for nurturing others.
In July of 1962, Audrey married the love of her life, Bill. Together they built a home centered on faith, love, and devotion, raising three children and creating a legacy that continues through future generations.
Audrey found great joy in God’s creation, especially while tending to her flower garden. She was deeply involved in her church, faithfully attending services and participating in activities that strengthened both her own walk with Christ and the lives of those around her. She also gave generously of her time as a hospital volunteer, always seeking ways to serve others with compassion and kindness.
Known for her quick wit and warm heart, Audrey had a special way of making others feel seen, loved, and cared for. Her life was a reflection of Christ’s love in action. Even as she faced the challenges of dementia in her later years, her gentle spirit remained evident to those who knew and loved her.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Billy Martin; her daughter, Lisa Orvis (Jeff); her sons, David Martin (Jane) and Gary Martin (Anne); her six cherished grandchildren—Jessica Anderson, Lindsey Champion, Meredith Montana, Mitchell Martin, Jackson Martin, and Jordan Martin; and her four precious great-grandchildren—Tucker, Sawyer, Hannah, and Madelyn.
Audrey will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her loving and compassionate heart, and her sweet and gracious spirit. She touched many lives and leaves behind a beautiful testimony of a life well lived for the Lord.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
