Barbara Jean Casey

Barbara Jean Casey, 80, of Cumming went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 8, 2025. Barbara was born on April 22, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel, but was always happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel loved and special. She never met a stranger, and her home was always open to friends and family. She retired from Tommy Lee Carpets in Lawrenceville, where she worked as a bookkeeper. Barbara was happily married to her husband, Dean Casey, for 59 years.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Dean Casey, her sons Brandy (Tiffany) Casey of Cumming, and Lance (Monica) Casey of Villa Rica, her grandchildren Peyton Casey of Charlotte North Carolina, Carly (Tyler) Owens of Statesboro Georgia, Brock and Brogen Casey of Cumming, her sisters Carlene Smith and Beverly Elrod. She is preceded in death by her son, Mark Casey. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:30 until 9:00 PM. Burial will be on Wednesday at 2:30 PM
