Barry Lee Waters

Barry Lee Waters, 78, of Cumming, GA, entered into the arms of Jesus on August 23, 2022. Barry was born on April 6, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Irving Waters and Naomi (née Rock) Waters. Barry graduated from Northeast High School, studied chemistry at Temple University and St Joseph’s University, and earned a Bible degree from Philadelphia College of the Bible. Thus began a lifetime of ministry to others, while also working in development and sales in the construction materials industry.

Preceding Barry is his brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Waters. Survivors include his wife, Doris (née Holler) Waters; son, Brendt (Hope) Waters; “bonus” daughter, Mimi Ihm; grandson, William (Melissa) Flanders; great-granddaughter, Zelma Flanders; brothers, Wayne (Bobbie) Waters and Dennis (Dee) Waters; sister, Sally (Paul) Leech; and many nieces and nephews, and their families, whom he loved.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Killian Hill Baptist Church, 151 Arcado Rd, Lilburn, GA 30047. Family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:30 p.m.
