Benjamin "Ben" Mike Gilbert

Benjamin Mike “Ben” Gilbert, age 94 of Cumming, GA., passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Ben was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gardening but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Danny Mike Gilbert.

He is survived by his children, Tina (Billy) Wheeler, Greg (Mona) Gilbert; grandchildren, Chad Gilbert, Hillary Wheeler, Sabrina Wheeler, Bailly Wheeler, and Peyton Gilbert; daughter -in- law, Susan Gilbert; sister, Bonnie Wright; brother-in-law and sister- in- law, J.D. and Thelma Cronan and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 11:00 am at new harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Sammy Wright, Rev. Johnny Purcell, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Nathan Hester officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 22,2026 from 4pm to 8pm and on Friday from 9am until time of service.
