Betty Holbrook Howard, 92, of Cumming, Georgia, passed peacefully in her sleep the morning of August 3rd, 2026.

Betty spent most of her life in Cumming, Georgia. She explored several different careers, with her favorite being working side by side with her husband, Broughton, in the cabinet shop at their home that they designed and built together. She spent many years involved with the Order of the Eastern Star, which earned her many lifelong friendships. Lastly, although she could be shy at times, she truly enjoyed her years singing with her sister, Doris, and playing the piano and organ at New Harmony Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Broughton, her son, Wayne, and her siblings Douglas Westbrook, Alice Johnson, Doris Palmer, David Holbrook, Jackie Holbrook, and James Holbrook. She is survived by her brother Eddy Holbrook, great-granddaughters Chloe Hebert (Noah) and Courtney Gary (Bucky), and great-great-granddaughters Ollie O’Bannon, Ella O’Bannon, Lillie Gary, and Clarke Hebert.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9th at 1:00pm at Ingram’s Funeral Home with a funeral to follow at 3:00pm at New Harmony Baptist Church. Betty had a great love and appreciation for flowers, but we ask that in lieu of flowers, you allocate that time and money in the kitchen baking something delicious with the people you love in memory of Betty.
