Bill Macauley III

Bill Macauley III, 69, of Cumming, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014. Bill was born in Tampa, Florida and was a graduate of Brandon high school. He attended undergraduate school at the University of South Florida, where he played football as a defensive tackle. Bill received his BS degree at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut and then obtained his MBA from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Bill started working for GTE in 1965. He left GTE to join the Marines and later came back to GTE after his enlistment. He worked there until 1996, when he retired as the Director of Executive Staffing. Bill loved spending time with his family, watching movies and enjoying the sites at Shady Grove Campground. Survivors include his wife, Kristine Macauley; sons, Bill Thomas Macauley IV, Brandon Taylor Macauley, Hunter Tyler Macauley; sisters, Marguerite Montalvo, Angela Knott; grandchildren, Paige Macauley, Cameron Macauley and many other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The King Lutheran Church with Pastor J. Eric Allen officiating. Interment will follow at a date to be announced at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
