Obituary

Bobbie Joyce Rader, age 91, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 3, 2026 after a life marked by faith, love, perseverance, and joy. She was born on May 6, 1935, in Cullman, Alabama, to Cora Estelle and John Edward Brown. She lived a long healthy life and fought hard this year through her lung cancer battle.

Joyce’s faith and her love for our Lord was the foundation of her life. She cherished her church family at Hopewell Baptist Church of Milton, Georgia and Faith Baptist Church in Rockledge, Florida, and was known for her kindness, honesty, warm smile, and caring spirit. Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, reflected the strength and trust in God that guided her throughout her life.

Joyce met her husband, Leroy (Lee) Rader, in Blytheville, Arkansas. They married in 1965 and began building their life and family together. In 1966, their family was blessed with the birth of their only daughter, Tina Michelle Rader. Together, Joyce and Lee built a life through his military service before eventually retiring to Florida, where they found great happiness. She loved Florida, animals, line dancing, music, fellowship, and the simple joys of life. Her friendly and welcoming nature touched everyone who knew her. Joyce and Tina had a beautiful mother/ daughter relationship and enjoyed many adventures and travel the past few years together.

Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Rader; her sisters, Vera Cozort, Jewell Diego, and Era Flores; and her brother, Harless Brown.

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Michelle Rader; sister-in-law Reta Rader, brother in laws Val Flores, Garry Rader and Dick Trent; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Joyce also treasured her grand-kitties Sebastian, Stella Rose and Sadie.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and strength. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
