Bonnie Joan Barrett

Bonnie Joann Barrett, age 81, of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2016. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Mary Barrett; 1st husband, Ofra Green; 2nd husband, companion and best friend of 58 years, George Whelchel; son, Tim Whelchel; grandson, Bradley Hughes; brothers and sisters, Ed Barrett, Ellie Mae Kendrick, Evelyn Barrett, Helen Wilson, Mark Barrett, and Lonnie Barrett. She is survived by her daughters, Rachel (Jerry) Hughes, Angela (Benny) Sawyer; grandchildren, Brannon Hughes, Brittany Hughes, Scott Whelchel, Christy Jones, Brent Sawyer, Brian Sawyer, Tenicia Cook; great grandchildren, Brianna Hughes, Mikaela Hughes, Arissa Harper, Olivia Hughes, Bryson Whelchel, Bradyn Whelchel, Chasity Sawyer, Kyle Sawyer, Logan Sawyer, Christen Lee, Sawyer Lee, Jackson Sawyer, Trent Sawyer; sister, Etta Simmons; brother-in-law, Thompy Wilson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Payne and Rev. Rodney Allen officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14, from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and on Friday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
