Carl Floyd Cooper was born November 2, 1930, in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Emory and Henry College in Emory, VA and then immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. He worked at the Library of Congress for forty-two years. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Marcia Cooper, daughter Missy DeLuca, son-in-law Steve DeLuca and
granddaughters Virginia, Maddie, and Lily. He was a loving husband,
devoted father and avid reader. He went to meet his Savior on November 23rd, 2012.
