Cecil Bennett

Cecil Bennett, age 73, of Cumming, GA, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012. Cecil owned and operated Bennett's Marine since 1975 and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bige and Ina Bennett; brothers, E.C. "Bab" Parks, James Parks and his sister, Jean Nix. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Brooks Bennett of Cumming; son, Kevin Bart Bennett of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and David Herman of Duluth; sister, Linda Lively of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Joanne Ogden of Milledgeville, Marilyn Brooks of Cumming; brothers-in-law, Marcus Brooks, Crafton Brooks Jr. both of Cumming; grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Herman and other loving friends and family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Bennett officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
