Cheryl Woodward Barton

Cheryl Woodward Barton, 72, of Dawsonville, GA formally of Cumming, GA passed away June 29, 2022. Mrs. Barton was born in Dahlonega, GA to the late Bo & Evelyn Woodward. Cheryl enjoyed watching soap operas, Grey’s Anatomy, crocheting, word puzzles, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Leon Barton, daughter, Amber Nichole Barton, and brother, Gene McCoy.

Cheryl is survived by her daughters and son in-law, Denise McCoy, Tracy and Shannon Kern; grandchildren Derek & Amanda Kern, Nathan Kern and his fiancé Reese Bryant, Melissa McCoy, Danny McCoy, Zach Kern and Rachel Bailey, Nick Hendrix, Sarah Kern and her fiancé Hunter Delay, Blaze Charles; great grandchildren, Charlee, Thor, Luke, Benjamin, Kyren andLiam; sisters and brother in-law, Gayle Vessell, Joyce and Bob Anderson, Karen Waters and Jeff Cappis; brother Eddie Woodward, Diane and the late DG Barton; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, July 3, 2022 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Richard officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in honor of Cheryl Woodward Barton. Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming is in charge of arrangements.
