Clayburn Dorsey Pirkle

Clayburn Dorsey Pirkle, 80, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024 following a long illness. A self-employed cabinet maker, Clayburn loved his family and enjoyed deer hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Idell Pirkle; brothers, Coell Pirkle, Cleon Pirkle; sisters, Grace Jackson, Vera Jackson and Myrdeese Potts.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Gloria Catherine Pirkle; daughters, Janet (Anthony) Cain, Jeanne Katherine Allen; grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Cain, Aaron Cain, Kayla Allred and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
