Col. John Jacob Luxemburger, Jr., age 88, of Cumming, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. He retired from the United States Army after 34 years of distinguished service. He was preceded in death by his son, John Paul Luxemburger. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Suzanne H. Luxemburger of Cumming; children, Barbara L. (Patrick) Barnett of Cumming, Karen L. (James) Orgeron of Woodstock, David S. (Kelli) Luxemburger of McDonough; sister, Audrey Schoch of Vacaville, CA; grandchildren, Brendan Barnett, Elizabeth Bosker, Austin Orgeron, Rory Luxemburger, Emma Luxemburger; great grandchildren, Shea Jones and Alexis Bosker. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6th at 12:00 noon at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow in The Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
