Constance Frances (Peake) Moran

Constance Frances (Peake) Moran, 84, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, surrounded by her children, as she entered the loving arms of Jesus.

Born on February 16, 1941, in Hancock, New York, Connie was the daughter of Kathryn (Milk) Peake and Francis Peake of Long Eddy, New York. Together with her beloved husband, James Moran, Connie raised five children and countless pets while working part-time in dental hygiene.

Connie was passionate about gardening and deeply devoted to her church, where she was an active and faithful member. Throughout her husband’s career, she lovingly feathered many nests in several states, residing the longest in Southbury, Connecticut from 1976 to 2003, before retiring to Cumming, Georgia. In this chapter of her life, she found her greatest joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

Connie is survived by her daughters, Maria (Danny) Trompetta and Sheila (Jay) Mortara; her sons, Jim (Diane) Moran, Jeff (Brenda) Moran, and Ryan Moran; her ten grandchildren, Michael, AJ, Matthew, Charles, Nicholas, Samantha, Jay, Sean, Emily, and Oliver; and her four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Moran; her parents, Kathryn and Francis Peake; her brother, Bruce Peake; her sister, Vicky (Peake) Brigham; and her brothers, Philip and Patrick Peake.

A Catholic memorial Mass and burial will be held in the spring, when Connie will be laid to rest alongside her husband, James, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. The date and time will be announced when finalized.
