Crantfard "Daddy Crant" Samples

Crantfard "Daddy Crant" Samples, 82, of Cumming, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 following a brief illness. Daddy Crant was born in Forsyth County to the late Roy & Bessie Samples and was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Samples; infant son, Dennis Samples, brothers, Junior Samples, R.B. Samples and Eugene Samples. Crant was a farmer most of his life and loved the outdoors. He was also one of the original founders of Lanierland Music Park in Cumming and was a Mason for many years. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Marla & Bobby Gazaway; son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Donna Samples; grandchildren, Shane & Renee Gazaway, Blake & Lauren Samples, Taylor Samples, Amanda & Heath Roper; sister & brother-in-law, Thelma & Bob Glover; brother & sister-in-law, Harold & Peggy Samples; sister-in-laws, Louise Samples & Evelyn Samples; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home from 1:00-4:00PM & 6:00-9:00PM on Saturday, December 29th.
