Darlene Barrett

Darlene Barrett, born to the late Melba Jean Jones and Lemuel Guy Pruitt, went to be with her beloved parents, her Heavenly Father, and her dearly missed daughter, Nicole Barrett-Anderson.

Darlene was also preceded in death by many other loved ones, including, sister, Sandra Pruitt; nephew, Jacob Simmons; brothers-in-law, Jamey Simmons, and Frankie Martin; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Darlene was a loving person and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was very crafty and enjoyed doing various projects. She always enjoyed laying in the sun and being next to the ocean. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many.

Darlene, affectionately known to many as Nana or Punkin, is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Terry Barrett; son, Chris (Amanda) Barrett; sister, Lesa Martin; brother, Jimmy Pruitt; grandchildren, Colby (Emma) Anderson, Olivia Anderson, Lonnie Barrett, Angel Nicole Barrett; great-granddaughter Brooklyn Rose Anderson; son-in-law, Tim (Samantha) Anderson; mother-in-law, Etta Simmons; sisters-in-law Robbie (Marvin) Ruis, Lee (Chris) Barclay; brothers-in-law, Jason Simmons, and Jerry (Jackie) Barrett; step-mother, Joyce Pruitt; aunt, Barbara Burnett; numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews; and countless cousins and friends that love and miss her immensely.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, with Rev. Danny Ray Martin and Pastor Austin Houston officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
