Darryl Wigington

Darryl Ray Wigington, 59, of Alpharetta passed away suddenly on Monday, May 26, 2025. Survivors include his wife of almost 36 years, Pam Wigington; daughters Claire and Emma Wigington; brother Keith Wigington; father Charles (Linda) Wigington; aunts Jeannette Wigington, Doris Bellamy, and Mildred Nordman; uncle John Wigington; and nephews Patrick and Kirk Wigington. He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Wigington.

Darryl graduated from North Carolina State University with a mechanical engineering degree. He began his engineering career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Fort Bragg, Fort McPherson, and Fort Gillem). He then worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta for 20 years.

Darryl loved watching Alabama Crimson Tide football (Roll Tide!), although he also rooted for other SEC teams when required. He also enjoyed cooking, rehabbing cast iron cookware, and target shooting.
