Davis Dover

Davis Daniel Dover passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2025, in Cumming, GA. He was 23 years old. Davis was born on February 8, 2002, in Cumming, GA, at Northside Hospital in Sandy Springs, GA. He attended Vickery Elementary, Vickery Middle, and West Forsyth High School. Davis was predeceased by his Mother, Ginnie Mae Egger Dover Greenway. He is survived by his father, Justin Dover of Cumming, GA; stepmother, Laura Dover of Cumming, GA; his stepfather Lamar Greenway of Cumming, GA; brother, Carson Dover of Dillon, Colorado; sister, Ashlyn Dover of Sandy Springs, GA; stepsister, Emma Reynolds (husband Braden) of Alpharetta, GA; and stepsister, Sadie Biegelsen of Sarasota, FL, as well as many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Our community adored Davis, always seeing his potential and kindness and consistently supporting him in his endeavors. Davis loved back in countless ways. Davis was always willing to help. He was never more than a phone call away, offering his assistance for family moves, helping his grandfather around the house, and during family illnesses. If help was needed, he was there. He was present. Davis was a storyteller. He mastered the art of captivating an audience with his tales and humor. There were few moments spent with Davis before he began sharing a story. His storytelling had a way of taking over the room. If he did not understand a topic, he was known for diving deep to learn all about it, so he could later incorporate it into a story. Davis dreamed. He loved making plans for himself and others. From family vacations to trips with friends, Davis had a passion for travel. His love for exploration took him across the United States, including Hawaii, and he even visited Italy. For someone his age, he had seen much of the world, yet he yearned to see more. He often talked about one day living in Thailand. Davis planned. He chose not to pursue college, but that did not deter him from mapping out his future. Instead, he ventured into business with his stepfather, Lamar Greenway, aspiring to learn from him and eventually run his own business. Davis envisioned the freedom and flexibility that came with entrepreneurship, and he continued his mother, Ginnie Greenway's, business at Queen of Hearts as a testament and lasting legacy of his love for her and his siblings. Davis had a deep love for nature. He was passionate about plants, trees, and all living creatures. He found joy in gardening and loved watching things grow. He often gifted plants and trees to family members. Davis had a unique bond with animals, as they seemed to love him back. In his youth, he was fascinated by monkeys. Though he settled for cats and dogs as more practical pets, he adored the zoo and would have created one in his backyard if possible. His connection with both plants and animals was profound and spiritual. Davis's legacy lives on through his family and friends as we cherish his love, dreams, and the bonds he created with each of us. He was a gentle soul who often chose actions over words to express his love for his family and community. We love you, Davis Daniel Dover, and we will miss you in our hearts. Although it is our final duty as your family, friends, and community to entrust you to God's care, This goodbye is not forever; it is not the end. We will miss you until we meet again. Please join the family in honoring the living memory of Davis Daniel Dover and extending grace, peace, and purpose. A memorial will be held at Grace Chapel Church of Christ on April 27, 2025, at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to the Humane Society-Forsyth County (forsythhumane.org).
