Dean Russell Venator

Dean Russell Venator, age 81, of Dahlonega, GA., passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Dean was one of six children born to the late Walter and Teresa Venator in Teaneck, New Jersey. He was an Air Force veteran who loved to talk about his six years of service in Greenland and Wyoming. Dean was a salesman who traveled the United States and Canada selling electronic components. During his retirement he and his wife, Vicki loved traveling God’s creation. He volunteered at Chattahoochee Hatchery at Rock Creek teaching challenged children and young adults flyfishing.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Vicki Bennett Venator; son, Gary Venator; daughter, Lori Faircloth; grandchildren, Noah and Lily Faircloth; Melissa and Mitch Camp along with several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 3pm to 5pm.

Inurnment will be Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga., at 11:30 am with military honors.
