Debbie Koon Wilkes

Debbie Koon Wilkes, 61 of Dawsonville, Georgia unfortunately succumbed to a multitude of health complications, with her loving family by her side on Sunday, the 23rd day of June, 2024 at 6:28PM. Debbie, originally from S.C., was born to the late Haskell O'Neal Koon and Judy Ann Martin-Koon. Debbie loved her family. She fought with all her being to protect her son with every breath of her life until she inevitably drew her last. Even though she was the strongest woman that we knew, even warriors have to trust their sons to Gods great plan.

She was preceded in death by her loving brother, Tim Koon, and sister; Cherie Corley. 

She was survived by her son, Allen (The Goob) Pennington; soulmate Kenneth Wilkes; sister Deana McCoy and brother-in-law, Bob McCoy; nephew, Brandon Wolford, and wife, Shelina Wolford, whose children are Wyatt and Macie Wolford; niece, Heather Lanier, and husband, Greg Lanier, whose child is Violet Lanier; niece, Alicia, Patterson, husband, Donnie Patterson, whose children are Blaklyn Norton, and husband, Toby Norton, whose child is Waylon Norton. She will be laid to rest back in her hometown of Slabtown, South Carolina at Fellowship Church at a date that is later to be announced. 

The family will be at 998 Goodson Rd., Dawsonville, GA 30534 to receive friends and family from the area on Saturday, the 29th day of June the year of our lord, 2024 between the hours of 3 & 6PM
