Deborah "Sue" Hemrick

Deborah “Sue” Hemrick born May 4,1957 in Shakerag GA peacefully departed this earth Oct 2nd 2023 after an 8-month battle with Stage 4 Melanoma in her home surrounded by loving family.  She married her childhood sweetheart. In their almost 50-year marriage, they built a life filled with love and laughter, raising 3 children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. If you knew Sue, you knew that she was a hippie who was not afraid of a fight and had some colorful language.  She loved her family, trout fishing, good books, yard sales, and fixin’ new desserts.  She always had a song or rhyme for everything. She lived her life unfiltered and found the joy in the little things.

She was preceded in death by her Son Jeromy Hemrick. She is survived by her devoted husband Wendol; her daughters and sons-in-law Melissa and David Chumley, and Jessica and Stan Lee; grandchildren Kassie Hemrick Hall, Thomas Chumley, Jacob Hemrick, Allyson Chumley, and Noah Lee; brother and sisters-in-law Marvin and Fannie Samples, Barbara Whitmire, Elizabeth and Benny Boling, Alvin and Grace Hemrick, and Linda and Andy Clemons; and numerous other family members.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. David Chumley, and Rev. Stan Lee officiating. The family will receive friends, Friday, October 6, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 9:00 am until the time of the service at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
