Dorothy Prine Buchwald, 87, of Suwanee, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026.

Dorothy was a woman of deep and abiding faith and a longtime member of First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Ga. She was one of eight children born to the late G.C. and Cleo Prine. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R.R. Buchwald.

Dorothy found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved the beach, tending to her garden, cooking for those she loved, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Kelli Buchwald, Kurt Buchwald and his wife, Dori; her granddaughter, Alex McDaniel and her husband, Justin; and her grandson, Blake Buchwald.

A memorial service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a contribution to First Redeemer Church or a memorial gift to Northside Hospital Foundation. Flowers may also be sent to Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga.
