Dorothy "Dot" Heard

Dorothy "Dot" Heard, age 80, of Milton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 25, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Dessie Hyde; brothers, Dorris Hyde, Daniel Hyde, and Frankie Hyde; great grandchild, Dylan Isabella Smith. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Billie Heard of Milton; children, Tommy (Janie) Heard of Dallas, GA, Cathy (Dennis) Hill of Canton, Vicki (Charles) Smith of Telford, TN, and Eric (Patricia) Heard of Cumming; brothers and sisters, Billy Hyde, Gene Hyde, Anne Chumbler, Danny Hyde, Peggy Horton; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 28, at 1:00 P.M. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Interment will follow at the Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
