Dorothy “Dot” Dean Hopkins, 88, of Cumming, Georgia went home to be with the Good Lord on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Dot was born July 12, 1937, in Cherokee County, Georgia to the late Milton and Mary Westbrook Dean.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Parker Hopkins; son-in-law, Johnny Lee Payne; eight brothers, Estes, James, Robert, Hoyt, Carmel, Sam, Johnny, Melvin; and two sisters, Jewel and Wynell.
Dot is survived by three children, Larry (Susan) Hopkins of Ball Ground, Georgia, Debbie (Lee) Goodwin of Cumming, Georgia and Barry Hopkins of Cumming, Georgia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Stacy (Corey) Crocker of Cumming, Georgia, Jason (Brittney) Payne of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Ashlee (Mike) Sims of Calhoun, Georgia, Austin (Tori) Hopkins of Calhoun, Georgia; and ten great grandchildren, Clay (Mireille) Crocker, Candace Crocker, Caylee Crocker, Carter Payne, Parker Payne, Oaklen Hopkins, Briggs Hopkins, Abigail Hopkins, Tucker Sims, and Rylee Sims.
Dot was a dedicated homemaker, who loved her family very much. She was known for her superb house cleaning, her love of gardening and flowers, and enjoyed dancing to good music.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clay Crocker, Rev. Danny Bennett, and Rev. Jason Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 7, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 8, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
