Elizabeth Margaret “Margie Henderson

Elizabeth Margaret “Margie Henderson, age 79, of Dawsonville, GA passed away July 29, 2023. Ms. Henderson resided in Cumming for 23 years before moving to Dawsonville in 2019. Originally from Mastic Long Island New York Elizabeth was a retired law enforcement senior court officer for the supreme court in Hauppauge, New York. She was required to wear police uniforms and carry firearms. She was once the number one sharpshooter in her field.

She was also a part of the Blue Knights; and to become an active member you were a full or part time law enforcement officer with powers of arrest. This membership of Sisterhood and Brotherhood enjoyed the company of different people who shared not only the common bond of a career in law enforcement, but also a love of motorcycles. She had the largest motorcycle for such a petite officer. A beautiful Honda Silver Wing.

She was a gifted artist in music, singer, and talented painter.

She is survived by her son Robert Darrell, her daughter Eva Darrell and future son in law Chris Jakubowsky, her sister Eve Patrick and brother-in-law Don Patrick.

Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Thursday August 3, 2023 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.
