Elizabeth “Lisa” Hill

Elizabeth "Lisa" Clausen Hill, age 55, passed away peacefully at her home in Cumming, Georgia on December 15, 2024, surrounded by her family. Lisa lived an exceptional life. She was born on March 25, 1969 in Williamsburg, VA to Chuck and Betsy Clausen. Lisa attended Lenape High School, in Medford, NJ and graduated from Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville, GA in 1987. She attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education. Lisa was a teacher for the Gwinnett County School System for over a decade and had a gift for making strong connections with her students. Teaching was one of Lisa's passions, and she always said that she felt called to it. Lisa stepped away from teaching to raise and guide her three wonderful girls, her greatest accomplishment. During this time, Lisa volunteered in her daughter's schools, serving as PTA president, among many other roles. Lisa also volunteered at Browns Bridge Community Church as a Transit leader. 

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Chuck Clausen, and is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Alexia (24) of Tampa, FL, Colbie (21) and Delaney (20), both of Cumming, GA; her mother, Betsy Clausen, of Cumming, GA; two siblings, Chad Clausen and Cari Clausen White of Jefferson, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lisa made an incredible impact on many people. She had a knack for making others feel welcome and never met a stranger. If you knew Lisa, you loved her. She will be dearly missed. 

A Memorial service will be held at Browns Bridge Community Church on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 P.M. at Greenfield Farms.
