Emily Johnson Newberry

Emily Johnson Newberry, age 83, of Dawsonville, Ga. died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Ga. She was born March 17, 1927 in Ensley, Alabama to Carl Frederick and Cora B. Jones Johnson. She graduated from Hueytown High School and received her R.N. from St. Vincents School of Nursing in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Newberry Berryman; her parents, and siblings Christine Dyle, Earnest Johnson, Howard Johnson, and Joyce Morrow. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Harvey Newberry; daughter, Rhonda Newberry Hildreth; son-in-law, W. Bartley Hildreth and granddaughter Amy Johnson Hildreth as well as many nieces and nephews in Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina and California. Graveside Services will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on January 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Gill officiating. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
