Emma Akins Shoemake, age 83, born June 26, 1932 passed away on October 15, 2015
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at Byars Funeral Home with the interment to follow in Suwanee View Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shoemake is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Arthur Shoemake; Parents, Stanley and Mandy Akins; and her brothers and sister.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Steve Cordell, of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Shoemake Jr., and Janet Nalley, of Hazelhurst, Georgia; son, Jerry Shoemake, of Cumming; grandsons, Nathan Hopkins, of Morristown, TN; Gabe Hopkins, of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Tristan Hopkins and Kendall Hopkins, both of Morristown, TN.
