Eric Joseph Sommer, age 75, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 24th, 2020. Eric was born in Bachmaning, Austria.

He is survived by his children, Steve (Wendy) Sommer, David Sommer, Erica Sommer, and Elizabeth (Jeff) Roberts; Siblings, Julie Doljonen, Anna Josellis, and Adela Felic ; grandchildren, Donny Charles Payne, Delia Cheyenne Payne, and Bryson Troy Roberts; and loving best friend Liz Vanklingeren; along with many other loving friends and relatives.

Eric served in the United States Army from 1962 through 1965 and was a Light Vehicle Driver. He attended church at the Dawsonville Church of Christ. He lived in Cumming since 1981.

Rick loved talking with people and sharing stories. He especially loved working in his shop, whether it was on automobiles or in his woodworking shop making things. He also enjoyed being in the yard enjoying the country or riding and working on is tractor. Rick loved working out at the gym, riding his jet ski on the lake, and playing spades. Rick loved going to McDonalds every morning and meeting with all his friends in the "Ya-Ya Club of McDonalds." Rick will be missed dearly by his family and many friends he knew throughout his life.

Visitation will take place at Ingram funeral Home on October 30th, 2020 from 12pm to 9pm.
