Evelyn Gazaway Sanders

Mrs. Evelyn Gazaway Sanders, age 91, was born on January 6, 1922 in North Forsyth County. Her parents were Reverend Charlie and Mrs. Ollie Gazaway. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia. She was previously married to George F. Welch and they had two children; son, Charles Frank Welch and daughter; Elspeth Rebecca Welch. She was later married to Harold G. Sanders of Cross Plains, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sanders; son, Charles Welch; grandson, Justin Welch; sisters, Kathlene Burruss and Margaret Bagley and brother, Leon Gazaway. Survivors include her daughter, Elspeth; son-in-law, Malcolm Shaw; sister, Marie Redd; daughter-in-law, Marie Welch; grandchildren, Jamie Vaughan Krulikowsky and husband Wayne of Sparta NJ, Charles (Chuck) Welch and wife Renee; great-grandchildren, Tracy and Lauren Krulikowsky, Charlie Welch and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Coal Mountain Cemetery with Reverend Dennis Bottoms officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
