Faye Mathis Martin

Faye Mathis Martin, age 96 and lifelong resident of Forsyth County passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Martin operated Martin's Greenhouses for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years, Claude Benson Martin; parents, Henry and Azzie Lee Mathis and her six brothers, Dewey Mathis, Glen Mathis, Carl Mathis, Claude Mathis, Candler Mathis and Charlie Mathis. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Phyllis Martin; grandchildren and their spouse, Brandon and Leshia Martin, Corey and Amanda Martin, Dana and Phillip Pratt; 10 great grandchildren; and caregiver, Becky McBrayer. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am until hour of service.
