Flora Melinda Burke, age 67, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Flora was born on September 22, 1958. She was a devoted and loving mother and daughter whose family meant everything to her. She loved her family deeply and, in return, was dearly loved by those fortunate enough to call her Mom, daughter, sister, and family.

Flora loved going on cruises and treasured the memories she made traveling with those she loved. Above all, she loved her husband, Billy Burke, with all her heart. Following his passing in 2015, she missed him every day and carried her love for him with her throughout the rest of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Thomas Burke; her father, Hugh Doyle Teems Sr.; her stepfather, Fred Cassell Sr.; and her brothers, Jesse Cassell, Steve Cassell, George Cassell, Jeff Cassell, Jerry Cassell, and Fred Cassell Jr.

Flora is survived by her mother, Betty Cassell; her sons, Christopher Burke and Dustin Burke; her sisters, Retha Brafford and Elva Medley; her brother, Hugh Teems; and other family members and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home, with Pastor Charlie Bell speaking at the service.

Flora will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and for the place she held in their lives and hearts. She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
