August 10, 1946 – December 20, 2025
Gary was the loving husband of Ann for 56 years, a partnership he was deeply proud of and one that stood as a true testament to love, loyalty, and commitment. He was preceded in death by his father Ray Jeffers and mother Lornell Jeffers. Gary was a devoted father to Shawn Jeffers and Nicole Plumley, and a cherished father-in-law to Charlie Plumley and Shannon Jeffers.
He was a loving grandfather to Makenna Wilsey (Cameron – husband), Brady Plumley (Bree – wife), Skyler Plumley, and step-grandfather to Dylan and Matt Campbell. Gary was also a proud great-grandfather to Ryder and Logan Wilsey, and Benson Plumley. In addition, he was a beloved brother-in-law to Donna Healy, and uncle to Stacey Healy and John Healy Jr.
Gary began his career as a plumber in the 1980’s. He eventually worked his way up to become VP of Operations for a major nationwide plumbing company. Later, driven by his entrepreneurial spirit and a vision of doing things his own way, he ventured out on his own and founded RooterPLUS in 1994. Under his leadership, the company grew from one employee to the respected and successful business it is today with over 100 employees.
Born in Santa Barbara, California, he grew up in San Diego County. After high school he went on to serve his country as an Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He found peace and happiness in gardening, visiting nurseries whenever possible, and traveling to experience gardens near and far. Known for his gift of conversation, he loved to talk, joke, and tell stories—often leaving listeners laughing and feeling like they’d just spent time with an old friend. Gary's presence, humor, and love of life will be deeply missed.
