Gayle Gronefeld

Gayle Ann (Wiesmann) Gronefeld passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, after a 3-year-long battle with Cancer.

She is survived by her Husband, Steven P. Gronefeld, her 3 children, Shawn Robert Gronefeld, Stacy Lynn (Gronefeld) Hirst D.V.M, Scott Anthony Gronefeld, and her 9 grandchildren, Colby Gronefeld, Bradley Gronefeld, Dylan Gronefeld, Emerson Hirst, Brantley Hirst, Jaxon Gronefeld, Addison Gronefeld, Malakai Williams, and Brexdyn Gronefeld. She is also survived by her two precious dogs, Gunny and Sarge, and her heartwarming cat, Brooklyn.

Gayle was the beloved patriarch of the family. She was the rock that held everything together, in both good and bad times. As a stay-at-home mom, she made sure that every detail was taken care of with love, compassion, precision, and patience. She endured the struggles associated with a spouse that traveled most of his 50 years in Corporate America and made sure that every minute she and her husband had together counted. No one could have asked for a better Companion, Mother, Grandmother, Friend.

Gayle became the family’s definition of compassion, kindness, patience, and love. There was never a moment that she would not go over and above to make sure that the kids and grandkids had what they needed to succeed.

She will be severely missed every single day, while at the same time, she will be loved and cherished in our hearts and minds forever.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends from 12:00 until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local SPCA or similar animal shelter. That will warm her heart, even in the afterlife.
