Gene McBrayer

Gene McBrayer, known as “Tig,” was welcomed into the loving arms of our precious Savior on November 17, 2025.

He was born on September 28, 1934, to Otis Carter and Elizabeth (Holbrook) McBrayer.

He is proceeded in death by his sister Wanda Lee, brothers Billy and Rudolph McBrayer, and a son Randy McBrayer.

Tig is survived by the love of his life, Mary (Hanson) McBrayer, his loving son Tommy (Karla) McBrayer and grandchildren Craig, Keith, and Kayla.

For those blessed to have known Tig, you knew he loved the Lord and is currently resting where he longed to be.

Tig was known as an incredible man, a loving and caring person. He was quite the character known for his kindness and humor. He had a smile that would melt your heart.

He enjoyed working in his garden, bowling and just being around friends and family.

He was in the service from 1954 to 1956. He cut meat and worked in a gas station from 1956 to 1969. He worked for General Motors warehouse and parts department from 1969 to 1999 for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, at 12 Noon in the Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 10 AM to 8 PM and one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers the family would kindly appreciate donations be made to Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund.
