Gerald S. Cartenuto

Gerald S. Cartenuto, age 81, of Cumming, GA., passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Gerald was a member of St. Brendan’s the Navigator Catholic Church. He served in the National Guard in the State of New York during the years of 1964 to 1970. Gerald was an avid Braves fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. He also enjoyed golfing with his co-workers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Antoinette Cartenuto; sister and brother-in-law, Christina and Florian Kandefer; sister-in-law, Katherine Cartenuto.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith H. Cartenuto; children, Jason and Mary Cartenuto, Amy and Bobby Richardson; 4 grandchildren, Luke and Hope Cartenuto, Kyle and Kate Richardson; brother, Joseph P. Cartenuto, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan’s the Navigator Catholic Church, 4633 Shiloh Road, Cumming, GA. 30040. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
