Geraldine (Geri) Panter

Geraldine (Geri) Panter, 72, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Geri’s life was her animals, having 7 horses, 3 llamas, 7 sheep, 3 pot bellied pigs, 4 donkeys, 23 goats, and 20 cats. She could have never been able to help all of her animals without the help of Orr Animal Hospital. She was a retired school bus driver for Forsyth County and a member of The Church at War Hill. Geri is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Ann Goode of Ducktown, TN; her brother, Steve Goode of Ducktown, TN and her niece, Amanda (Goode) Arp, also of Ducktown. Geri also had sisters by choice, not by birth, Rebecca Smith, Christa Wagg, Charlotte Carter, Jane Mauldin and Lesa Martin.

Geri is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Jimmy Panter of their home in Cumming, GA; her precious daughter and son-in-law, Rachel Panter Ulrich and Pete Ulrich of Denver, CO; her sister, Wanda Goode Jones of Peachtree Corners, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E., Jr. and Lynette Panter of Powder Springs, GA., Thomas E., III. and Amy Panter, III and daughter Madison Panter of Dallas, GA; Toni and Dale Long of Ackworth, GA; nieces and nephews, Mattie and Casey Arp of Ducktown, TN.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Allen and Pastor Don Allen officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from and 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
