Gerry is loved and will be remembered for her kind heart, for speaking her mind bluntly, for taking on any physical task no matter how strenuous, for serving God and her church, and of course, for doting on her pets.

Born and raised in Decatur, Gerry was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church, graduated from Decatur High School and Mercer University.

After marrying her soul mate Jerry, they moved to Conyers to raise his three sons and joined Saint Simons Episcopal Church. They shared a love of God and of miniature Schnauzers, gardening, and travel until his death in 2003. She remained in their home for twenty more years sustained by wonderful friends and neighbors. In 2023, she moved to Cumming to be near her sister. Here, she developed more friendships that enriched her life immeasurably.

She will be missed deeply by her sister Chris, brother-in-law Ron, godson Jonathan, her precious Bella, loving Fosnot family members, multiple nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Her funeral will be held at 1 pm on Sunday November 1st at St. Simons Episcopal Church in Conyers, Georgia. A soup and dessert luncheon to celebrate her life will begin at 11:30. All funeral attendees are invited to share lunch and their favorite Gerry memories.
