Gladys Ruth Kennedy Meredith

Gladys Ruth Kennedy Meredith, age 92, of Cumming, formerly of Stone Mountain passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015. Mrs. Meredith was the family matriarch; a lady of great faith. She lived her life to the fullest, overcoming every challenge she met. She enjoyed celebrating life each day with family and friends. Mrs. Meredith is preceded in death by her first husband, William F. Kennedy, Sr.; her second husband, Alonzo B. Meredith, Sr.; parents, Hermon and Euna Pittard; sons, William F. (Bill) Kennedy, Jr., Howard David Kennedy and her brother, Rev. Gordon Pittard. Survivors include her children, Becky Fuss, Nancy Jessup, Randy Kennedy, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Rev. Mark Fuss, Tanya (Joe) Alexander, Stephanie Ebers, Kevin (Lorie) Fuss, Marjorie (Doug Betsinger) Kennedy, Rebecca (Jeff) Seay, Sarah (Gerald Schaefer) Kennedy, Kimberly Herring, Dawn Campbell, Kerry (Billie Jo) Kennedy, Jessica (Gabe) Walker, Audra Hart, Franklin (Laura) Kennedy; 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Rev. Howard E. (Bill) Pittard of Cumming and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Gabe Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
