Glen Greenwald

Glen Greenwald, age 83, of Young Harris, GA, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Glen loved golf and was a member of the Atlanta Ski Club. A Veteran of both the Army and the Air Force, Glen was the Quarter Master of VFW Post 7807. He is preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Greenwald; sisters, Helen Eitel, Faune Haag; Vera Karnitz and step daughter, Sharon Shirley. Glen is survived by his loving wife, Iona Greenwald; brother, Dale (Louisa) Greenwald; son, Bret Greenwald of MN; son, Jeff (Laura) Greenwald of St. Charles, IL; son, Ralf (Lisa) Greenwald of Seattle, WA; daughter, Lori (Jay) LeBrun of Big Lake, MN; son, Gordon Greenwald of Germany; son, Arthur (Kris) Metzler of Texas; daughter, Trisha Metzler of Germany; step children, Robert (Janice) Shirley of Cumming, GA, Roy (Jackie) Shirley of Woodstock; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 7807 in Hiawassee, GA. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of arrangements.
