Glenn Barham Clements

Glenn Barham “Barry” Clements, 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, mentor, and community leader, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, May 24, 2026, after a courageous and difficult final week in the ICU.

Barry was born on November 17, 1956, in Portsmouth, Virginia. He spent most of his life in Virginia Beach before moving to Forsyth County, Georgia, in 2004. A longtime resident of North Georgia, Barry built not only a beautiful home, but also a life centered on family, integrity, service, and meaningful connection.

Barry is survived by his devoted wife, Robin Hodges Clements; his daughters, Kara Gower (Steven), and Graysen Revellese (Antonio); his beloved grandson, Grayton Revellese; his sister, Helene; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He attended Virginia Tech, where he studied art — a reflection of the creativity, appreciation for beauty, and eye for design that remained part of who he was throughout his life. A respected professional, Barry spent 33 years with The Coca-Cola Company in National Sales and Marketing. His leadership, relationship-building skills, thoughtful guidance, and strong work ethic earned the admiration of colleagues and friends alike. He was known not only as a leader, but as a mentor — someone who made people feel valued, heard, and supported.

Outside of work, Barry found joy in landscaping and working in the yard, creating artwork, spending time at the beach, and gathering with family and friends. He had a deep appreciation for beautiful homes and gardens and paid attention to the small details that made life meaningful. An avid runner for most of his life, Barry approached challenges with discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

Above all else, Barry loved his family deeply. His grandson, Grayton, brought immeasurable joy and purpose to his life. Barry treasured being “Grampa” — delighting in sleepovers, building Legos, using tools, doing art lessons, playing outdoors, and encouraging Grayton’s creativity and curiosity while teaching him to be a kind gentleman. The bond they shared was extraordinary. He believed deeply in showing up for family, leading with kindness, and creating memories that would last for generations.

To know Barry was to know someone with a truly generous heart. He was selfless, caring, charismatic, hardworking, and endlessly friendly — the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. Barry had a unique ability to combine strength with gentleness, offering calm reassurance and thoughtful advice to those around him. He made people feel instantly welcome and deeply cared for.

Those who loved Barry will remember the steady comfort of his presence, the warmth of his smile, and the feeling of safety that came from knowing he was always there. Those who knew him well recognized the unmistakable twinkle in his eye—a rare spark of kindness, joy, and genuine warmth that made everyone around him feel special. A steadfast source of strength and reassurance, Barry was the truest and most loyal friend, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Barry will be remembered for his generous spirit, creative mind, unwavering love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on the countless lives he touched. His legacy lives on in the family he adored, the friendships he nurtured, the community he served, and the love he gave so freely.

In honoring Barry’s final wishes, there will not be a service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, Barry and his family ask that donations be made to the following organization that supports a variety of causes near and dear to his heart:
