Grady Grinstead

Grady Grinstead, age 71, of Cumming, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Memphis Tn on April 25, 1951 to the late Jesse and Rosie Grinstead.  Grady graduated from Memphis State University with a BBA and later became employed by IBM where he worked in technology sales and management for 41 years.  He served for two years on the board of his HOA at Habersham Pointe Condominiums, contributing greatly to the community.  

Grady loved to travel in addition to fly fishing, boating and golf.  He adored his family and grandchildren.  He is survived by his loving wifeof 12 years, Diane Grinstead, his three children, Matt Grady Grinstead (Sarah), Stephanie Lynn Downey (Eric), Heather Grinstead Chiapponeand their mother, Valerie Grinstead. He also has two step children, Sarah Salley Arnold (Casey) and Carter Williams Salley (Angela) and ten grandchildren: Madeline, Sophie and Emma Downey; Audrey, Anderson, Ella and Ophelia Arnold; Aspen and Isla Grinstead and Blake Salley.  In addition, he has one living sister Cindy Lee Grinstead Hearn and numerous nieces and nephews.  He’s predeceased in death by his sister, Andee Grinstead Long and brother, Daniel Brooks Grinstead.    

A memorial service will be held at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory on November 18th at 1pm.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Grady Grinstead
